Professor Daniel Levine - Chair
Professor Levine received Classics degrees from the Universities of Minnesota (BA, 1975) and Cincinnati (PhD, 1980). He has taught Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies at the University of Arkansas for 27 years, and has directed ten student study abroad programs in Greece. He is interested in all aspects of ancient Greek language, literature, history, and art. Link to Vita
Associate Professor David Fredrick - Director of Humanities
Professor Fredrick received BA and MA degrees from the University of Kansas, and his PhD from the University of Southern California (1992). His research interests include Roman poetry, Roman houses and wall painting, 3D modeling and game design, Rome in cinema, and cultural theory. Link to Vita
Assistant Professor Alexandra Pappas
Professor Pappas received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004, and has taught at the University of Arkansas since 2006. Her research interests include archaic Greek poetry, Hellenistic poetry, Greek art and archaeology, and Word and Image studies.

Lecturer Jeff Gingras
Mr. Gingras received his MA from the University of Colorado in 2006 and his BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. His research and teaching interests include the art and archaeology of the
ancient Mediterranean and Latin literature.
